It will be similar to the model T-Cross
Looking to the future I. D. range of electric models from Volkswagen, it seems that consumers can get enough crossovers as it is focused mainly on cars.
However, the situation may change in the near future.
According to Western media, Volkswagen is considering production of an entry-level CUV, which will take place under a future larger versions of I. D. Crozz.
At the moment, little is known about the model, but in publications it is argued that its dimensions are roughly the equivalent of the model T-Cross, so you can expect a length of about 4 meters, but thanks to the new platform MEB specifically for electric vehicles, electrotransfer may be more spacious in the cabin.
The compact size of the model will help the company not to spend money on developing new batteries – crossover will be offered with a battery of 48 kW, which will allow you to drive up to 330 miles on a single charge thanks to the small dimensions and weight.
As well as EV and Kia Niro Hyundai Kona Electric, electric crossover Volkswagen will be driven only on one axis – in this case the rear wheels in connection with a feature of the new platform.
In the case that the crossover will receive a “green light”, its production will establish the plant in Emden, Germany, and sales could begin in 2020 or 2021, the year.
